“We HELP ARTISTs GROW”
The 402 Lesson Studio is a program made possible by the non-profit organization - 402 Arts Collective. Upon the launch of this organization in early 2010, we began to identify a need developing in our community: a need for a safe, values-based, and affordable means through which to receive training in the arts. The organization’s artist members, passionate about teaching others their skill and crafts, began working together to form what is now called the 402 Lesson Studio. This program was launched in 2011 and significant growth has been seen! Now in two locations, the 402 Lesson Studio has increased vastly in its student enrollment. Our true passion is to provide resources to students within our community who don’t have access to quality art and music education. This is made possible through generous donations to the 402 Arts Collective Education Financial Assistance fund.
What makes the 402 Lesson Studio unique is the ability of each instructor to customize learning plans according to the student’s particular needs. This helps students achieve what they thought unachievable. Each Artist Instructor at the 402 Lesson Studio is a professional practitioner themselves, with a desire to help you grow in your instrument, art form, or skill.

Where your $$ goes.
We understand that everyone likes to make a difference in the world. We want everyone who invests their hard-earned money into art and music education here in the 402 Lesson Studio program to know that you actually make a triple impact! 70% of every dollar goes to compensating the artists who are teaching in the studios. 23% goes to keeping the facilities open and safe. 7% goes to providing financial assistance to the underserved and disadvantaged in our community. Therefore, just by enrolling in the 402 Lesson Studio program, you are benefiting three different groups of artists: you, your artist instructor, and artists in need.
