CHAMPAGNE JOYNOOSAENG
Music has always been my form of self-expression, and I aspire to provide students with opportunities to showcase their talents.
I am a vocalist and a current undergraduate student at the University of Nebraska-Omaha, majoring in music performance. As the only musician in my family, I started playing piano at 6, picked up the violin the next year, and took voice lessons at 9. I am trained in musical theatre, classical music, and opera, and I chose to continue my studies in voice because it let me express myself in a way when it was difficult to speak my mind. Now, I chose to teach because talking about how the voice works is my second favorite conversation topic - the first is baking. My goal is to teach students techniques and musicality, letting them explore the capabilities they have with their voice and creativity. I hope to create a safe space for singers, encouraging vocal growth and show off their authentic selves.
When I'm not singing, I'm still surrounded by music while doing the other things that I love to do: crocheting and baking.
