I have had an interest in art ever since I could hold a pencil.

I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, with an emphasis in painting. At the university, I began to critically examine my interest in fiction, and started to explore the idea of visual storytelling.

I wanted to make work that was quirky and playful, so I began a series of paintings, inspired by real people acting out fantasies. This work set the foundation for my artistic goals of bridging fantasy and reality in painting.

After college, I set up my own studio in Lincoln, Nebraska. It was there that I decided to host figure drawing sessions for the local community. I loved the experience of helping others understand anatomy from the perspective of the artist, and getting them excited about drawing.

Since then, I have been doing freelance work and gallery shows. My primary mediums are oil paint, watercolor, and digital painting.

I am excited to be a part of the 402 Arts Collective and teach in the Lesson Studio program, because this is a place that matches my values. If you want to explore drawing or painting, I’d love to come alongside and help you learn. ENROLL below (I’ll reach out to you to set up a Meet & Greet 👍) or sign up for one of my Group Classes. I hope to meet you soon!
