IN-PERSON LESSONS SAFETY PROTOCOL
As we all work together to try to fight this virus as a community, the 402 Arts Collective has established a few protocols as you attend in-person lessons in any one of our studio facilities. These are all in efforts to maintain a safe and sanitary learning environment for all our many students, as well as compliance with local mandates. As an organization, we are following all suggested procedures outlined by the CDC. https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html
Wellness check
If students are showing symptoms associated with COVID-19 or any other virus, as expected we would ask that they stay home and do not physically attend their lesson.
If students think they have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 we ask that they discuss this with the instructor. Virtual lessons are a great alternative during a period of self quarantine.
Masks
Masks are required for all students and instructors while having in-person lessons inside any of our studio locations.
Once inside the studio, students who are able to maintain a distance of six (6) feet between themselves and the instructor, (AND if the instructor is comfortable with this) students do not have to wear a mask during their lesson. This is in compliance with our local cities mandate.
Masks must be worn while entering and exiting the lesson studios.
Masks are available to anyone who does not have one. Students can request one from their instructor.
Arrival at lessons
We ask that when students arrive at the Lesson studio location for in-person lessons, they arrive no earlier than the time of the lesson.
Parents or caretakers of the student are asked to drop off the student. The Artist Instructor will meet them at the entrance to the studio.
All of our waiting rooms are not in use at this time.
Parents or caretakers of the student are asked to wait in your car, after the lesson is over the student will come and meet you at the entrance of the studio.
Wash hands
In each studio, students will have access to hand sanitizer.
At all of our locations, students are asked to wash their hands for 20 seconds with soap before and after each lesson.
All of our instructors have been instructed to do so before and after each lesson as well.
Sanitation
All lessons that are in-person will be five minutes shorter than usual. This is to allow each instructor to follow their studio sanitation protocol prior and after each lesson.
As always, please contact our office with any questions, concerns, or clarifications. office@402artscollective.org402-193-1939
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT COVID-19
Q: Who do I contact if I have a questions or concerns about my lesson schedule related to COVID-19?
A: Please first contact your Artist Instructor and talk with them about other potential learning options and resources available.
Q: Is the 402 Lesson Studio closing down entirely during this virus outbreak?
A: At this point in time, we are not planning on closing our studios entirely until the state or local government requires it. We are a unique organization that deals primarily with 1:1 interactions (Teacher to Student). We feel that it is best to allow each student/parent/teacher to make the judgement call on how they would like to proceed at this time.
Q: What do I do if I or someone in my family has been exposed to the virus?
A: Please follow the recommended precautionary protocol given by the local DHHS, and the CDC. We ask that you do not potentially expose other students and instructors by coming to one of our studio locations. However, if self quarantine is required there are plenty of options through technology to continue learning. Again, just ask your Artist Instructor about these options.
Q: What precautions are being taken to make sure your studios are clean?
A: Our studios are being “deep cleaned” weekly by professional companies. The studio is spot cleaned and sanitized daily. Each Artist Instructor is instructed to clean the surface of all instruments etc. before and after lessons.
Q: What about Classes?
A: We currently do not conduct any classes that are over 10 students. Classes will continue for the forthcoming weeks as long as we can.
Q: Are you offering optional “Virtual Lessons” over video chat?
A: YES we are! “Virtual Lessons” are a great alternative for many situations that might arise through this pandemic.
