402 ROCK ACADEMY
Are you ready to take your music to the next level?
The 402 Rock Academy is a 12-week immersive course where young musicians go from solo practice to full-stage performance. Designed for students who are passionate about music, this program offers the real-world experience of being in a band.
Each week, students rehearse as a band—vocals, guitar, bass, drums, and keys—building musicianship, mastering songs, and preparing for live shows. Along the way, they’ll learn how to collaborate, communicate, give and receive feedback, and navigate the dynamics of playing in a group. These lessons in teamwork and etiquette are just as important as the music itself.
More than just technical skills, this program helps students grow personally—developing confidence, discovering their musical identity, and connecting with a community that shares their passion.
Only five students will be selected to join the band. Weekly one-hour sessions run from July 2nd to September 17th, and the total cost is $600, which includes instruction, rehearsals, coaching, and performance support.
The 402 Rock Academy is led by Jordan Opere and Roman Constantino—both active touring musicians. Roman is also a proud graduate of this program. Together, they bring a wealth of experience and a passion for mentoring the next generation of performers.
How to Join – Sign Up for the free of charge Ruckus Audition
To audition for the band, students must attend our group audition event, known as The Ruckus. This fun, informal jam session will take place on Tuesday, June 18th from 7:00pm–8:00pm at the 402 Arts Collective’s Benson location in the Ground Floor Studio. It’s your chance to show what you can do and meet fellow musicians!
After the Ruckus, 5 selected finalists will be invited to officially register for the program. Those selected will receive a link to submit payment and secure their spot. Finalists will have one week to complete registration after being notified.
WHAT TO BRING: Guitar Players: you need to bring your guitars, the 402 Arts Collective will be providing all other equipment.

WHEN: Ruckus audition - June 18th, 2025 from 7:00pm-8:00pm
Sessions will start on July 2nd, 2025 and go until September 17th, 2025 meeting weekly on Wednesdays from 7:00pm-8:00pm
