Since I was a child, becoming a visual storyteller has been an interest. I would create stories and comics to bring my ideas to life. As I grew older, I was introduced to manga/anime and my world was changed forever. I began researching and practicing techniques and fell deeper in love with the art form. It was during my research that I found it was very difficult to find mentorship and opportunities for this art form. This is where I wanted to make a change.
I am a freelance artist with a studio in Omaha, Nebraska. I have been a featured artist at several local events, such as Benson First Fridays. Additionally, I have been a featured artist at many Anime Conventions, such as KanpaiCon, Planet Anime KC, and Des Moines Con.
As your instructor, I want to take the 25+ years of experience and knowledge I've collected over the years to jumpstart you all into your own artistic journeys. Together, we will build upon the basics and fundamentals of anime/manga characters and bring your ideas/characters to life.
The mediums used in my classes will include: Pencil, Ink, Alcohol Markers, and Digital painting.
