JOHN CARLOTTO
Music has brought me so many wonderful experiences. My goal as a woodwind instructor is to help each student gain the competency and confidence in their ability to handle a wide variety of performance situations and styles. I have played the saxophone since the age of 10 and through the years have become proficient on flute and clarinet as well. After graduating from Millard High School in 1973 I spent the next three years in the 7th Division Army Band as a saxophone player at Ft. Ord, California from 1973 to 1976. After my military days I attended Hastings College and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Music Performance/Saxophone in 1982.
I later continued my musical studies at the University of Northern Colorado where I completed my Master's Degree in Saxophone Performance in 1989. I have appeared with numerous musical groups throughout the United States and Europe, including single engagements with national acts such as the Temptations, Coasters, and the Drifters. Since returning to Nebraska in 1991 I have continued to perform with numerous Omaha area R&B, blues, jazz, and rock groups.
