MADDISON POLING

I’m so excited you’re here! I have spent the last fourteen years of my career helping students of all ages find their unique sound & conquer their performance goals.

Performing has been an integral part of who I am my entire life. As a child, I sang on any stage that would let me, usually with classics by artists like Bette Midler, Mariah Carey, and Christina Aguilera. In middle school, I was bitten by the theatre bug and fell in love with musicals. I attended Centenary College and Louisiana Tech University where I performed in numerous plays and musicals while getting my Bachelors in English with a minor in theatre and Spanish. Post-college, I traveled the south in a regional tour of The Wizard of Oz (Dorothy). I’ve competed in national competitions–even receiving a callback for NBC’s The Voice–and acted in numerous short films and commercials. Some of my favorite credits include Disney’s Newsies (Katherine), A Chorus Line (Maggie), Legally Blonde (Elle Woods), and Tarzan (Jane).

I am a director & choreographer and a theatre educator. Some of my favorite productions I’ve directed are Into the Woods (Stagedoor Manor), Finding Nemo Jr. (Omaha Community Playhouse), Fractured Fairy Tales (Circle Theatre), & The Addams Family (Stage Center). I’ve traveled the country helping theatres and schools create accessible arts programming. Most recently, I was the Director of Education at the Omaha Community Playhouse and before moving to Omaha, I was the Director of Education at Stage Center in Louisiana.

As a voice & acting coach, some of my past students have been seen on Broadway & national commercials and many others have received college scholarships. I’ve worked with students as young as five with talent show performances to adults auditioning for regional productions to professionals working on an acceptance speech.

I love working with students of all ages, and I coach multiple styles of acting, as well as music - pop, rock, country, musical theatre, jazz, etc. No matter your style, I want to help you find your voice. My coaching approach is guided by your goals and together we work to build a repertoire of music, monologues, or scenework you feel comfortable and confident performing. All levels of experience are welcome here. I can’t wait to work with you!

I’m thrilled to offer classes and coaching as a Performance Coach through the 402 Acting Academy! Theatre is my passion, and I’m here to support actors of all ages on their journeys in stage, screen, and life. Visit my page on the 402 Acting Academy website to explore all my current offerings!
