After picking up the banjo in his teens, Trevin quickly fell in love with its expressive power and storytelling potential. His musical journey took him to the prestigious Berklee College of Music, where he studied and collaborated with a vibrant community of artists, honing his unique voice in the world of Americana and roots music.
As a founding member and banjoist of the acclaimed band The Ruta Beggars, Trevin has performed on stages across the country, earning recognition for his inventive approach to bluegrass and his engaging, heartfelt performances.
Beyond the stage, Trevin is a passionate educator who thrives on building musical community. He has taught workshops at festivals, led classes at Boston’s renowned Club Passim, and serves as a certified Wernick Method teacher, making bluegrass jamming more accessible to all.
This fall in Omaha, Trevin returns to his hometown to offer a series of bluegrass and folk music workshops, classes, and community jams.
