WATERCOLOR FLORA
Join artist instructor Keegan Baker for a hands-on watercolor workshop where we will explore the beauty of plants through brush, pigment, and observation. In this workshop, we will work from both photographs and real-life plant specimens—ranging from leafy greens to blooming flowers—to create your own vibrant botanical paintings.
Whether you're new to watercolor or looking to grow your skills, Keegan will guide you through essential techniques like wet-on-wet blending, dry brush texture, color layering, and basic sketching for composition. We’ll discuss ways to simplify complex shapes and capture the character of plants without overworking the page. Expect a relaxed, supportive environment with plenty of visual references, demonstrations, and one-on-one feedback.
By the end of the session, you’ll have a finished botanical watercolor painting ready to frame, along with new tools to confidently continue your practice. This class is perfect for parents and kids to create side by side in a relaxed, welcoming environment.
All materials will be provided—just bring your curiosity and love for nature!
